21st Swiss Photovoltaic Conference

The Photovoltaic Conference took place on the 20th and 21st of March 2023 in the Kursaal in Bern.

The National Photovoltaic Conference took place this year on 20 and 21 March 2023 at the Kursaal in Bern. Every year this event attracts experts and interested parties from the solar industry and this year was no exception. With the 950 participants (a new record!) the enthusiasm for the development and future of this industry was palpable. It was not for nothing that Sonja Hasler emphasized that the solar industry is energized.

In Switzerland in 2022, a growth of 40 percent has been recorded in the solar industry and it is set to grow even more: An annual growth of 2 TWh is to be achieved in the future. The supply of solar energy must increase from the current 7% to 25-30% in 2035.

The focus of this year's conference was on energy supply in the winter months and on shaping the energy transition. Problems and solutions, the electricity market, findings from research and examples from practice were discussed intensently over the course of the two days.

The combination of presentations and product and poster exhibitions enabled the participants to engage in a lively exchange.

This important conference of the Swiss solar power industry is organised by NET Nowak Energie & Technologie together with Nova Energie and Swissolar.
