Note on Solar Roadmapping – a tool for accelerated deployment of solar technologies was published in the June 2023 issue of the journal Solar Compass. The article, co-authored by Stefan Nowak (NET) and Lawrence L. Kazmerski (University of Colorado), underlines the importance of roadmapping to accelerate the global deployment of photovoltaics, in particular in markets and countries at an early stage of development.
A roadmapping strategy requires to plan each step of the process as well as to identify the key stakeholders. From a general perspective, the road map contributes to determine and visualise a common goal and identify the best way to reach it. Elements such as risks, barriers and speed are important pieces of information that need to be included in the roadmapping process.
