Since 2001, the city of Fribourg has been holding the Energy city label. By virtue of an active political planning including all aspects of energy, mobility, climate and renewables, Fribourg improved its score during the last re-audit, achieving a score of 76,4%, which opens its path to obtain the European Energy Award Gold label in 2021.
