Phototvoltaic study for the city of Zurich

Implementation of a forced development scenario

In order to drive forward the energy turnaround, two motions call for a strong expansion of photovoltaics:

  • First, the share of the electricity mix from photovoltaic systems should increase from currently 1% to 10% by 2030.
  • Secondly, all suitable roofs on city-owned buildings are to be equipped with photovoltaic systems by 2030.
