The Fribourg municipalities of Le Mouret and St-Aubin have been certified as energy towns for the first time thanks to their active energy policy over several years. Municipalities are awarded the Energy City label if they have implemented or adopted more than 50 percent of the possible measures. Le Mouret achieved 53 percent and St-Aubin 56 percent. The label commission of the Energy City Association awarded the certificate to both municipalities at the end of November 2017. At the same time, the municipality of Marly successfully passed the re-audit and was awarded the Energy City certificate for the third time with 58 percentage points. NET has been supporting the three successful municipalities in their energy planning and policy since 2013.
