On 22 September 2026, around fifteen stakeholders from solar training in French-speaking Switzerland met at the invitation of the Swiss Solar Training Coordination. NET runs its French-speaking branch on behalf of SwissEnergy. Universities, professional associations, installers, inspection bodies and training centres took stock of how training is developing.
After updates from SwissEnergy and Swissolar, three workshops looked at integrating solar with storage, heat pumps and e-mobility, at making training more visible, and at the role of universities. The shared conclusion: training exists, but providers need to coordinate it better. Participants also identified a gap in training for project managers with a system-wide view.
Save the date: the first Swiss Solar Training Forum will take place on Tuesday, 7 September 2027, in Bern.
